A four-week virtual summit on big ministry in small towns hosted by Baptists in Texas is set to begin in April. The following presentations are scheduled for 6:00 pm on the following dates: April 20 – Mobilizing the Small Town Church for Large Missions and Ministry; April 27 – Confronting Cultural Christianity in Small Towns; May 4 – Restoring the Glory: Breathing New Life in the Rural Black Church; May 11 – Remembering our call. Our Lady of Guadalupe offers a soup kitchen through the cafeteria once a month. A soup kitchen coordinator said it was run by the church’s CCD program. It helps involved children earn community service credits. Delivery is available. The soup kitchen is usually offered on the third Saturday of the month. Meals are served from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 211 W. Seventh Street.
