ROCK SPRINGS – The Rock Springs Main Street Agency/Urban Renewal (URA) is pleased to announce the groups that participated in a recent community project as Volunteers of the Month for August. These groups include Bayer Crop Science, Redi Services, and the Youth of the Rock Springs and Pilot Butte Wards.
These groups collaborated on a beautification project to improve the alley behind the Broadway Theater in historic downtown Rock Springs. They cleaned up landscaping, laid gravel, removed graffiti and trash, and painted the back of local businesses. These efforts totaled 120 person-hours for all adults and youth involved. The project itself cost about $2,500, all of which was donated by Bayer Crop Science and Redi Services.
Craig Abernathy, Redi Services Regional Manager for Western Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Idaho, said, “This project has been an opportunity to work with our business partner, Bayer Crop Science, to improve the community in which we work and live. Bayer Crop Science and Redi Services provided support and resources to a local youth organization that wanted a project to serve our area.

“A project like this aligns with both of our organizations’ goals to give back to our community,” said Abernathy.
