Carolyn Osborne

Carolyn Rose Osborne, 73, of Rising Sun, died at 8:26 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Envive Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Carolyn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 18, 1948, daughter of the late Beatrice and Aaron Robinson. Carolyn was a stay-at-home mom and loved taking care of her family.

She was the widow of David L. Osborne, who died on October 2, 2000.

Carolyn enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds. She also liked to walk in the woods. Carolyn was happy as long as she was outside. Spending time with her grandchildren was something she loved the most.

Carolyn is survived by her three sons: David Osborne, Jr., of Rising Sun, Gearold Osborne (Terri), of Rising Sun, and Aaron Osborne of Florence, Indiana; by his five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; by his brother, Aaron Robinson (Mary), of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her sister-in-law, Carol Robinson, of Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was predeceased by her parents; by her husband David; and by his brother, Johnny Robinson.

Visitations were held on Thursday, September 9 at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Graveside Services immediately followed at Rising Sun New Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Shawn Green

Shawn Lee Green, 47, of Lafayette, Indiana, formerly of Vevay, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at his residence.

Shawn entered this life on September 23, 1973 in Madison. He was the son of Richard Lee “Rick” Green, who predeceased him in death, and Ronda Louise (Harsin) Spicer. He grew up in the county of Switzerland and attended high school in the county of Switzerland.

Shawn married Michelle Springer on July 15, 2000 in Vevay. This happy blended family was fortunate to have two sons, Blake and Nicholas.

In his early years, Shawn was employed by Belterra Casino & Resort; and Cincinnati Airport. He then worked with his father for Green Construction in the county of Switzerland for several years. He then moved to Lafayette, Indiana, where he worked for Lighthouse Recovery for a year. Shawn was currently employed with Mint City Utilities in Lafayette, Indiana.

He was a member of the County of Switzerland YMCA and the Sons of the Vevay American Legion Post # 185. Shawn attended the Mt. Sterling Baptist Church. Shawn will be remembered for his love of fishing, guitar, boating, singing, swimming and going out with his friends.

Shawn will be missed by his sons: Blake Lee Green of Bloomington, Indiana and Nicholas Smallwood of Greensburg, Indiana; by his mother, Ronda Louise (Harsin) Spicer of Commiskey, Indiana; and by his aunts, uncles, cousins ​​and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Richard Lee “Rick” Green; by his stepmother, Donna Mae (Arthur) Green; by her stepfather, Jerry Lee Spicer; by his paternal grandparents, Arthur “Buddy” and Olive Frances Green; by his maternal grandparents, Shirley and Juanita Harsin; and by his paternal great-grandparents, Glen H. and Opal D. (Lee) Baatz.

Visitations were held Tuesday, September 14 at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana, 47043. Funeral was held after visitation on Tuesday, September 14, by Reverend Mike Jones, at funeral home .

Jackson moore iii

Manuel Jackson Moore III, 45, of Nancy, Ky., Died on Saturday September 4, 2021, at his residence.

Jackson was born in Hazard, Kentucky, and was the son of Manuel J Moore Jr. and Helen Kaye (Jones) Moore of Hazard, Kentucky.

Jackson was very fond of; he loved his family very much.

Along with her parents and husband, Jackson held a special place in her heart for her special nieces, Gracelynn Cheyenne and Lillian Nevaeh Moore; and his cousin, Dewey Smith Jr. who was like a brother to him. He also loved old cars that went fast and loved his furry babies Jade and Rizzo.

Besides his parents, Jackson is survived by his wife, Craig Brandon Lewis, formerly of the county of Switzerland; and by his brother, Brian Lynn Moore.

Jackson was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Gracie Jones; and by his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Geraldine Moore.

A private family service at the Moore’s home in Hazard will take place to celebrate Jackson’s life. Interment will be held at the Moore Family Cemetery on Upper 2nd Creek in Hazard, Ky.
