Centurion Spine opens its first location in Florida

Centurion Spine & Pain Centers, a Jax Spine company, opened in Unit B1 at 400 Clyde Morris Blvd. at Ormond Beach.

Centurion Centers has been a leading provider of pain management in Southeast Georgia since 2020. The Ormond Beach office marks the company’s first foray into the Florida market and will offer treatments pain management, such as spinal cord stimulation, kyphoplasty, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, and minimally invasive spinal procedures.

Hiring event

Daytona International Speedway will hold recruiting events next month for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Saturday, August 27, the regular season finale of the NASCAR Cup Series.

The evening before, Friday August 26, the Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola will take place.

Hiring events will be:

• Tuesday August 9, 9am-1pm

• Thursday August 11, 2-6 p.m.

• Saturday August 13, 9am-1pm

• Wednesday August 17, 2-6 p.m.

Positions available include ticket takers, ushers, information kiosks, streetcar drivers (CDL required), ADA drivers, reception, security, emergency services and ticketing.

Business after hours

The Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce will present a Business After Hours from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, hosted by Volusia Mall at 1700 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach.

The event will take place at Center Court, enter from the west side of the mall at the food court and Dillard’s.

Leadership 2022 kicks off in September and includes a dedicated leadership course component.

The Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce and the New Smyrna Beach Board of Realtors will host two Hob Nobs elections for candidates.

Primary candidates were invited to the chamber office at 115 Canal St. in New Smyrna Beach from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10.

General election candidates were invited to the Brannon Center in New Smyrna Beach from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12.

Goodwill honored 219 employees for milestones

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida recently honored hundreds of its employees who have reached milestone anniversaries since the start of 2020.

The organization hosted a July 19 luncheon at the Wyndham Orlando Resort to thank team members for their dedicated service to Central Florida.

Of 219 Goodwill employees honored, 156 celebrated five to nine years of service; 53 commemorated 10-19 years; and 10 were recognized for 20 or more years of service, including one individual who has 45 years with the organization – the longest continuous employment record in GICF history.

Daytona Beach Hospital Named Best in Area

AdventHealth Daytona Beach was recognized as the Best Regional Hospital 2022-23 by US News & World Report.

The hospital was rated the #1 hospital in Volusia and Flagler counties.

PR group names “Great Communicator”

The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association has selected newly retired Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes as the 2022 Roger Pynn Grand Communicator and the Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences as the inaugural recipient of the Grand Prize. the chapter’s corporate communicator. .

Lt. Montes and the MOAS communications team will be honored at the 2022 Great Communicator Awards luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 18 at Daytona Beach International Airport.
