The Coast Guard will hold its second in-person marathon next spring, and registration for the event begins at midnight on Coast Guard Day, Thursday, August 4.

The official United States Coast Guard road races are scheduled for March 2-4, 2023 at Base Elizabeth City, NC, and will include a marathon, half marathon, and 5k.

“Elizabeth City is proud to host the Coast Guard Marathon, and we look forward to welcoming participants from across the United States and beyond to participate in the second annual in-person race, which honors and celebrates the Coastie spirit,” Coast Guard marathon director Corrina Ruffieux said.

The marathon and half marathon courses will run along the Pasquotank River and through the base and air station with a rare chance to cross the military airstrip.
