The Inc. Real Estate group, with offices in Fort Collins, Loveland and Timnath, now also has a presence in Steamboat Springs and Hayden.

On Monday, the group acquired Colorado Group Realty from Steamboat and brought this group of real estate agents into the fold. The purchase includes Colorado Group Realty’s main office in downtown Steamboat, as well as a second office in nearby Hayden. The acquisition is the company’s first outside of northern Colorado.

“We are honored and proud to partner with the incredible brokers and resourceful staff at Colorado Group Realty,” Group Chairman and Chief Executive Brandon Wells said in a written statement. “We have a long-standing synergy with CGR and have worked closely together over the years. Finally coming together to strengthen our culture of excellence in real estate service, relationships and involvement in our local communities is a dream come true.

In a press release, the group said the acquisition combines two like-minded property companies. Both companies are affiliated with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, a global network of independent brokers, and both follow the Ninja Selling philosophy created by group co-founder Larry Kendall.

Together, the two companies combined for a sales volume of $3.3 billion in 2021.

“We are delighted to be part of the group,” said Shelly Stanford, CGR’s employer broker. “With the vast amount of knowledge, amazing systems, and strong tools and support people, we will have the chance to pass it all on to our customers. The culture of the group is amazing – caring and supportive – just like the culture on which the Colorado group thrived. What a tremendous asset to our customers, our friends and our community.

The Steamboat Springs resort community is seeing expansion of its ski area, with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. plans to expand the ski area to 355 acres, install a second gondola and a new base that will include shops, restaurants and improved navigation.

The combined real estate company hopes to capitalize on a connection between northern Colorado and Steamboat. Nearly 25% of Steamboat buyers are Front Range residents.

In total, 84 people – including 70 agents and 14 employees – join The Group from CGR. The management team for the Steamboat and Hayden offices includes Josh Miller, Regional Sales Manager, and Stanford, Chief Broker. Miller replaces Steve Goldman, former CEO of Colorado Group Realty, who stepped down after six years at the helm of the company.

CGR will adopt the Group’s brand image, a process which should be completed this fall.
