North Shore Civic Ballet Launches Spring Auction

The North Shore Civic Ballet (NSCB), a 501c(3) non-profit dance company based in Marblehead, MA at the Marblehead School of Ballet, is launching its annual online auction in the spring. The NSCB auction website page, www.biddingforgood.com/ballet, opens bidding on Friday, May 20 at 6:00 p.m. and continues through Friday, June 10, closing at 6:00 p.m. EST. Proceeds from the auction provide budding dancers with the resources and training needed to study ballet and perform in the North Shore area of ​​Massachusetts.

Bidders find a range of items for purchase including gift certificates, passes and gift cards for restaurants, entertainment, recreation and more just in time for the summer holidays, graduation ceremonies, weddings, confirmations and other celebrations. Items available to bid include gift certificates/gift cards for Tides, Shubie’s, Turner’s Seafood, The Butterfly Place, The Landing, Item 24, a special evening of dinner and entertainment for ten at John Archer’s Danvers and more . Tickets are available at auction for Boston Duck Tours, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the North Shore Music Theater, York’s Animal Kingdom and more entertainment. Other great items to bid on are passes to the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, a Reiki Healing three-session pack, a 60-minute massage with Kelly Newton, a MacBook Air, and several services and products are available. on the auction website. Proceeds from the auction support performances, new choreography, costumes, scholarships and special educational projects. They also buy dance gear and resources.

“With the COVID-19 pandemic, proceeds from the auction will provide much-needed scholarships for students to study dance, which is now vital for families in financial need. People can still participate in the auction by making volunteering with the ballet company, asking merchants to donate a gift certificate or gift card for the auction or to make a purchase,” said Paula K. Shiff, Artistic Director of the NSCB.

Financial contributions are also welcome and can be made directly to the ballet company. The NCSB is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
