On Sunday, two boaters were rescued, one by helicopter, from the water off Lands End, just outside the Golden Gate Bridge.

The ship was reportedly in distress just before noon.

One person was pulled from a rock by the crew of a US Coast Guard boat amid waves, and the other was hoisted out of the water by a CHP helicopter just before noon, said responsible.

Coast Guard Lt. Anthony Solares said the boaters were in an inflatable boat. He said he did not have more details on the ship.

San Francisco Fire Department Lt. Jonathan Baxter said it was originally a 9-foot boat. One person was taken to San Francisco and the other to Marin County, Baxter said. The two were assessed for medical issues and released, according to the Coast Guard.
